About

Christina Chan-Meetoo is a Senior Lecturer in Media and Communication and Head of the Mediacom Studio at the University of Mauritius, where she spearheaded the introduction of the first undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in communication and journalism. She has published on press freedom, media regulation, new media and gender-sensitive reporting. She is the editor of "Ethical Journalism and Gender-Sensitive Reporting". She is a scientific collaborator on the Mauritian Creole Dictionary and the Rodriguan Creole Dictionary, and she collaborates on national research projects on Kreol Morisien.
