My academic interest is in digital communications and new media. My Master’s Degree thesis was on the appropriation of social media content by television broadcasters in news reporting in Kenya, while my doctorate dissertation taking shape at the moment is titled The Enigma in Strategic Construction and the Consequent Interactions of Presidential Tweets by Kenya’s State House: The Case of Uhuru Kenyatta’s Presidency. I have published a peer-reviewed journal titled Social media content appropriation for television news in Kenya: Threats and Opportunities, along with other journals currently submitted for peer review.
